The Sillar Quarries or Añashuayco are located 30 to 40 minutes away from the Main Square of Arequipa. Arriving at the Sillar Valley you will see a replica of the wall of the temple of the Society of Jesus, and the national coat of arms of Peru, as well as statues of animals with which you can take pictures.
Already in the quarry we will be able to meet the workers of the quarry who will give us information about the way the blocks of ashlar are extracted.
