Colca Canyon Tour 2 Days – Arequipa

At 7:00 am, we will start with the pick up of our passengers from their hotel to start the Colca Canyon Tour.

We will start the trip to Yura, visiting the Pampa de Arrieros and Pampa Cañahuas, where we can observe the South American camelids such as the Vicuña, llamas and Alpacas.

Continuing we will arrive to the town of Viscachani where we will be able to enjoy a hot coca tea, in this part of the road we will be able to appreciate bojedales and lagoons where the migratory birds such as the Flamingo fly.

Then, continuing the journey we will arrive at the highest point of our journey Patapampa, known as the Volcanoes viewpoint , after a short rest we will continue to the town of Chivay (3600 masl), where we will have lunch and spend the night.

Overnight at the Hotel.

Arriving to Chivay we will have the afternoon free to visit the town of Chivay, optionally we can visit the thermal baths of La Calera. These thermal medicinal waters exceed 40 °C.

Very early at 5:30 a.m., we will have breakfast at the hotel, then start our visit to the Colca Canyon (4910 masl), from the viewpoint we can enjoy the immense depth of the Canyon. We will also be able to witness the flight of the Condor, a unique experience that can be explored in this part of Peru.

At the end of our visit we will have time to have lunch in Chivay, and take our way back to Arequipa.

On the way back we will observe pre-Inca agricultural terraces, visit the villages of Pinchollo, Maca, Achoma and Yanque, in Yanque we will be able to observe the typical churches and the typical clothing of its inhabitants.
