Arequipa Tour 4 days tour and Colca Canyon trek

Arequipa tour

Upon arrival at the Arequipa airport or bus terminal, our staff will be waiting for you to and transfer you to the selected hotel.

We will start the City tour in Arequipa according to the timetable, we start with the pick up from your hotel to transfer you to the historic center and admire its beautiful main square.

We will visit the Viewpoint of Carmen Alto, where you can appreciate the imposing Misti Volcano (5800 masl), Chachani (6000 masl), Pichu Pichu (5300 masl) surrounding the White City of Arequipa.

Continuing with our tour in Arequipa, we will go to the district of Yanahuara, here we will visit the Yanahuara Viewpoint, built with the Sillar Blanco, which are entered from the quarries of Añashuayco.

Then we will go to the center of Arequipa to visit the Cathedral of Arequipa, built in 1656, which is considered one of the first religious monuments, the Convent of the Society of Jesus which is considered the highest expression of religious architecture.

And to finish our tour we will visit the of Santa Catalina Monastery (1580), a small city built with material extracted from the Sillar Quarries.

Colca Canyon Trek day 01

At 2:30 a.m., our staff will go to your hotel to pick up our passengers, to take our tourist bus and travel to Chivay, where we will have breakfast and from here continue our journey to the Cruz del Condor (3287 masl), here we can enjoy the majestic flight of the Condor.

After 1 hour of visit we will continue the trek to Cabanaconde until we arrive to the viewpoint of Pampa San Miguel (3280 masl), after about 3 hours of walking we will arrive to San Juan (2300 masl), where we will be able to visit the surroundings.

In San Juan we can have lunch and rest and then continue our hike until we reach Cosñirhua (2660 masl), from here we continue until we reach Sangalle (1160 masl), here we will spend the night in the bungalows, we will have time to rest and take a refreshing bath.

Colca Canyon Trek day 02

At sunrise, at 5:00 am, as coordinated with our leader, we will continue our hike to the town of Cabanaconde in a 3-hour journey, here a breakfast awaits us.

On the way back to Chivay, we will visit the natural viewpoints of Antahuilque and Choquetico, here we can appreciate the hanging tombs and litho-maquettes of the Inka times, continuing the walk we will arrive to the villages of Maca and Yanque, where we can take a bath in the hot springs of Chacapi.

After a short rest we will return to Chivay, where we can have lunch and return to Arequipa, on the way we will have tourist stops at the Patapampa Viewpoint (4910 masl), and the National Reserve of Salinas and Aguada Blanca.

Arrival in Arequipa at approximately 17:00 hours.

After breakfast at time for your flight, you will be picked up from the hotel for your transfer to the airport.

Note: in case your flight departs at night, we can do additional activities such as the Sillar Route or the Pillones waterfall.
