Day: 01 Añashuayco Quarries and Culebrillas Tour
Route Sillar Tour + Quebrada Culebrillas.
We will begin with our excursion according to the schedule.
After our meeting we will visit the Mirador de Zamacola, located in the district of Cerro Colorado, from here we will be able to observe the tutelary volcanoes of the white city of Arequipa,
Sillar Quarries In Arequipa or Añashuayco.
Continuing our trip we will go to the district of Uchumayo, where we can view the quarries of Añashuayco, which is born at the foot of the Volcan Chachani, also known as the Quarries of Sillar, this deposit of Ethnimbrite was generated in the Middle Pleistocene, and was exploited in the Colonial era for large buildings such as the Monastery of Santa Catalina and other palaces.
Culebrillas Gorge.
Continuing our excursion, we will go to the Culebrillas Canyon. It is said that this ravine was generated by a river that ran through this valley and over the years was evaporated, we will visit this ravine for a 30 to 40 minutes, we will also observe cave paintings made thousands of years ago.
End of the service and back to Arequipa.

How to get to the Sillar Route
The Sillar Quarries or Añashuayco are located 30 to 40 minutes away from the Main Square of Arequipa. Arriving at the Sillar Valley you will see a replica of the wall of the temple of the Society of Jesus, and the national coat of arms of Peru, as well as statues of animals with which you can take pictures.
