Day: 01 CUSCO –OLLANTAYTAMBO – WAYLLABAMBA
We start the Inca Trail 4 days 3 nights at 5:20 am with the pickup of our travelers from their respective hotels, and then travel to the town of Ollantaytambo. Here you can buy snacks and things necessary for the trip, here you will have time to have breakfast.
From Ollantaytambo we will go to Km. 82 Piscacucho (2700 masl), place of the first control of the Inca Trail, then we will start the hike with our guide and team for 2 hours to reach Patallacta (2700 masl), from here we will continue for 45 minutes to the resting place, where lunch prepared by our chef is waiting for us, after a short break we will continue the hike for one hour and a half to reach Wayllabamba where we will have the campsite and spend the night.
Day: 02 WAYLLABAMBA – WARMIWAÑUSCA – PACAYMAYO
We will have a splendid sunrise with the singing of the birds of the field, and we will taste an energizing breakfast and return to start our second day of trekking.
Our first destination is “Ayapata” or “Three Stones”, our guide will explain us the function of this unique place in the Inca period. Continuing our hike, we will reach the top of the “Warmiwañusca” (4200 masl).
From here we will open a descent trail through fields full of straw “Ichu”, we will taste the lunch prepared by our cook, take a short break and continue the descent.
Continuing the descent, we will arrive at the second camp in “Pacaymayo” (3500 masl) here we will have dinner and spend the night.
In the morning we will enjoy a delicious breakfast to continue our adventure along the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu. We will walk about 16 km long along a trail surrounded by jungle vegetation.
After an hour of walking we will arrive at “Runkurakay”, an archaeological center that shows a semicircular structured figure. Composed of towers that served as surveillance sites for the valley.
After visiting the archaeological center we will continue our visit to “Sayacmarca”, place where we will have our lunch, then we will continue the route to the third destination “Puyupatamarca” or “the place in the clouds” (3600 masl), Here we will observe a large hydraulic system that still works today.
Finally, after our tour we will arrive to our last campsite which will be in “Wiñay Huayna”, here we will have dinner and rest to finish the last part of the trek to “Machu Picchu”.
At 4:30 am we will have breakfast, then we will begin a short walk to reach the “IntiPunku”, from where we will appreciate the sunrise. And then descend to the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu.
Together with our guide we will take a tour of the main areas of the archaeological park, during 2 hours we will visit the streets, squares, urban areas, religious centers, and agricultural areas, which we will commemorate in our memories.
At the end of the tour we will descend to Machu Picchu Pueblo where you can have lunch, and have time for free activities, such as visiting the thermal baths, the waterfall of Machu Picchu, and other places of the place.
30 minutes before the departure of the train we will be at the train station of Machu Picchu Pueblo, to travel for one hour and 40 minutes to Ollantaytambo, here our transfer will be waiting for you to take you to the city of Cusco and take you to your accommodation.
We will finish our services leaving our travelers in their hotels or near the Plaza de Armas of Cusco.
